The resources available at our fingertips, literally, creates vast opportunities and methods, which can be used as a tool to contra media coverage or news articles that are offensive or issues in the news that are so obviously prejudicial or false that a monkey probably can recognize. However, the state of humanity and the motivation to seek knowledge to fulfill higher pleasures are nearly extinct. We are living a dinosaur age with laptops and free internet access almost everywhere we go. Creatures the size of buildings are squashing freedom of ideas and inhibiting the minds of millions, disguised under the mask of media and the ancient idea of a repetitive showing of what we should see as threatening or view as a social disease and impediment, is being used. What are we doing? Sitting, complaining, and implementing no actions and providing no clear means by which the viewers can see the other side of the issue or show them other sources of information that different perceptions can be derived from. I was raised with the idea that I have the right to say whatever I want and freedom to express whatever ideas my little heart desires without anybody holding it against me. Three words, "First Amendment Right!"
When meida coverage blindly shows two people with beards and wearing islamic like clothing saying such retarded things that are so far from true, and most likely made up, most of us just tend to knodd our heads from left to right for about a minute or so then go about our day complaining about the unfairness of the system. In the founding years of any civilization, the power of the pen was recognized and people ran to write their thoughts on paper and spread it around to convince people of what they are thinking and believing or just promoting their ideas and business ventures. The power of the pen has dissappeared, but its time for us to put the pen back on paper.
